Modern Facilities for modern learning
Thanks to the Energy Trust of Oregon, we have solar panels! The roof is home to 13 solar panels producing around 7kw of power.
Concrete floors like these in the 8STEM room help make indoor cleaning easier; thus, we reduce allergens and general dust. And look at those gorgeous new windows!
Every classroom has sensors to turn off their lights after 10 minutes of inactive. Every room including the science lab has this technology along with LED lighting.

Like all Oregon schools, we use Integrated Pest Management, limiting use of any and all chemicals for cleaning and facility/grounds maintenance.
Howard Street is an asbestos free school. All asbestos was abated.

We are a fan of many different cultural traditions around the world. One that we have adopted for our new home is the Japanese school practice of soji (cleaning). Twice monthly, Howard Street advisories help clean areas of the school by sweeping, dusting, and glass cleaning. Everyone helps take care of our new home!
