6th grade focus: ancient world cultures, narrative writing, summaries
7th grade focus: medieval world cultures, informative writing, figurative language
8th grade focus: early American history, argumentative/persuasive writing, essays
Spanish as a second language
Students participate in Spanish all three years. Our program is designed for beginners and new learner to the language. Our goal is Intermediate Novice on the ACTFL language scale.
6th grade focus: 1st half of high school Spanish 1 - develop vocab, basic phrases
7th grade focus: 2nd half of high school Spanish 1 - build vocab, simple sentences
8th grade focus: high school Spanish 2 (available for high school credit) - working in the present and past tense, basic paragraphs
