Don't let the numbers fool you.

Remember that many Howard Street classes are graded on a proficiency based system that does not use percentages. However, MyGradebook still calculates these percentages that we are NOT using. Please do not compare a percentage to a proficiency - they are not the same system and it is like comparing apples to oranges. Please look at the individual assignment grade and see if it is a '4'. Many students will receive a '1' or a '2' early in the instruction of a unit, meaning there is still room to grow to get to proficiency. Proficiency grades do not reflect work habits - those are found under the habits of mind grade so check both to see your student's true progress.
