About Us
Howard Street Charter School is a small middle school serving 162 students grades 6-8 throughout the Salem-Keizer area.
Our Curriculum is based on the 3Es: Einstein (math and science), Ellington (the fine and performing arts) & Esperanza (the Humanities and Language).
We stress proficiency, performance and project-based learning at all levels.
Famous Art Work, redone by 2009-10 7th graders
Do you know these famous works of art?
Seventh graders had to reproduce a famous piece of artwork on a work
block for their final project. Each also included a quote on the back that
captured the artist's view of the world.
All art work is also created by students at Howard Street.
