Howard Street Charter School is a small middle school serving 162 students grades 6-8 throughout the Salem-Keizer area.
Our Curriculum is based on the 3Es: Einstein (math and science), Ellington (the fine and performing arts) & Esperanza (the Humanities and Language).
We stress proficiency, performance and project-based learning at all levels.

What is important, inspiring or just fun
In order to get to know each other better, staff were asked to bring a
memorable quote to a Wednesday staff development. These quotes will give
you insight into our staff and school as a whole. If you know our staff,
