Bio:
Lena James earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with emphasis in Graphic Design at Oregon State University. She worked as a graphic designer and technical illustrator for a variety of companies and design firms as well as many years as a freelance designer/illustrator with companies such as Nike, Intel, and Oregon State University. She also has worked with youth in a variety of capacities for the past nine years. Currently, besides teaching at Howard Street she works with her husband as studio manager for their commercial photography studio in Salem.
Mrs. James and her husband have two children, both Howard Street alum. Lena enjoys spending time with her family, including her Australian Shepherd, Bella, as well as camping, gardening, being outdoors, reading, and art of many kinds.
