Special Education
At Howard Street, we believe that every child has special gifts and unique potential. We have specific plans to help those children that need additional help. These plans may help with everything from learning disablities to behavior.
Because of all the classes at Howard Street that are electives at other schools, we practice a full inclusion model of special education so that students do not miss all of the opportunities that we offer. This means students receive help in the regular classroom as much as possible. If a student needs one-on-one or direct instruction, we attempt to have this as a class in place of their elective.
